Nomination Process: The public is encouraged to make nominations to the Person to Watch initiative. Each month a Person to Watch will be chosen from the nominees by a panel of judges who will base their decisions on those nominees who best meet the criteria outlined below. Judging is at the sole and absolute discretion of the judges, without right of appeal. Nominees who are not immediately chosen may be considered at a later date.
Winners will be chosen, notified and interviewed within 2 weeks of final judging. The winners will be contacted by The Canadian Arab Institute to arrange for an interview, which may include photo and video, and may be published or posted on any property of The Canadian Arab Institute (website, social media or print material).
Nomination Criteria: Nominees must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, residing here or abroad. They must have demonstrable achievements that positively impacted or influenced others in their spheres and/or beyond. Their work and influence may have taken place in Canada or internationally.
We will give priority to nominees who:
a) Are impacting Canadian communities or society at large at a social, economic, cultural, or political level
b) Their work, ambitions and achievements align with CAI's mission, vision and objectives
c) Their contributions are timely for recognition
