Mohammad Khair Al Zaibak is a Syrian-born Canadian entrepreneur, engineer, and senator for Ontario since January 2024. He is one of the co-founders of the Canadian Arab Institute, and the CEO of the Canadian Development and Marketing Corporation, focusing on IT investments. Al Zaibak co-founded Teranet, which manages Ontario’s electronic land registry, and Lifeline Syria, aiding Syrian refugees resettling in Canada. He has served on the boards of Toronto Metropolitan University, the Royal Ontario Museum, and Waterfront Toronto. He holds a telecommunications and electro-physics engineering degree from Alexandria University and is a Harvard Business School graduate.
